The  Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències is a large complex promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana. It has become an international landmark and symbol of the Valencian Community's commitment to cultural tourism, and of the dynamism by which it is known worldwide. A cultural-leisure centre with striking architecture and an endless capacity to entertain, teach and excite, promoting citizen participation.

Running along a two kilometre axis in the old riverbed, and with a 350,000 square metre area, the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències is a very large, open space. It is a recreational area based on the idea of cultural and intelligent leisure activities, and provides Valencia with the largest centre of its kind in Europe.

The important role of its architecture is thanks to two internationally renowned Spanish architects producing the best of their work here: Santiago Calatrava, with the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, the Hemisfèric, the Museu de les Ciències Príncep Felipe, the Umbracle and the Àgora; and Felix Candela with the unique covers to the main buildings at the Oceanogràfic.

An architectural complex of exceptional beauty, harmonising the structure with the content. A city where the sea and the Mediterranean light come together in surprising ways.

Due to its special architectural features and the distribution of its spaces, the  Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències not only plays an important role in popularizing science, art and culture, but provides a stunning showcase for the celebration of corporate events with a modern, avant-garde image.
