The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències is located in the city of Valencia, just minutes from the historic city centre. Its construction along the final stretch of the old Turia riverbed has completed the astonishing transformation of this area into a large green space, more than eight kilometres long running through the city. The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències is the place to visit in  Valencia  and has made Valencia and la Comunidad Valenciana  a prime tourist destination. It complements a unique destination that combines tradition and modernity, with a rich cultural and artistic heritage, coastal and inland tourism and nature areas.

BY TRAIN

Valencia has two train stations, Cabanyal and Estación del Norte, and also the new High-Speed station Joaquin Sorolla, which links the city with Madrid and Cuenca. In addition Valencia is connected to Alicante, Albacete and Barcelona by high-speed trains. From Cabanyal Station and Estación del Norte you can get to the City of Arts and Sciences by city buses. From Cabanyal, bus line 1; from Estación del Norte, the nearest bus line is the 35 and Xativa metro station (lines 3 and 5). In the new railway station there is a shuttle bus, a free bus for AVE travellers that takes them to Estación del Norte. Another option is the metro, with the closest station being Joaquin Sorolla, where Line 5 takes you to Alameda, about 15 minutes from the complex. See Metro Valencia  and Municipal Transport (EMT).

COACH

Valencia coach station is on the bank of the old Turia riverbed. There are regular coach lines from all over Spain. To get there from the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, cross the river and take bus 95.

The following buses go to the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències: 1, 13, 14,15, 19, 35, 95 and 40.

BY BOAT

Valencia has an international port with regular departures to the Balearic Islands and Italy and a growing number of Mediterranean cruises.

From the port, bus19; the Metro station Neptú, line 5, takes you to Alameda station, about 15 minutes from the complex.

BY PLANE

Manises International Airport is just minutes from Valencia, 8 kilometres from the city centre. With runways and terminal being extended, and an increasing number of airlines operating in Valencia, the airport is now amongst the top in Spain for number of passengers and flights.

There is a metro station at the airport in Valencia, Line 5, with connection to Alameda station, about 15 minutes from the Ciutat de les Arts i les Cienciès.

METRO

The metro lines closest to the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències are lines 3 and 5. We recommend coming from the Alameda metro station, approximately 15 minutes from the complex, located in the gardens of the old Turia riverbed.

WALKING AND CYCLING

Visitors can reach the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències on foot or by bike heading east through the gardens of the old Turia riverbed, the city's large green space. There is parking for bikes at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. You can also consult the Valenbisi site.
